With nearly 19 years of serving the Tampa Bay area, we have covered all types of weddings and dealt with a wide variety of situations. Here are just some of the questions that you should ask any photographer before actually booking with them. We know what your concerns are and will help in any way we can to make sure your magical day is everything you dreamed it would be.

Q.  Are you licensed and operating legally?

A.    YES WE ARE!! In the state of Florida, all professional photographers must be licensed and hold a state sales tax certificate in order to sell their images. If you hire someone that does not have these, then you are just asking for problems. Plus you're helping to destroy a legitimate profession. IF you hire and have a problem with an unlicensed photographer, you have no legal recourse when he disappoints you.

 Q.    How much should I expect to spend on my photographer?

A.    This is a very good question. Some brides choose to go with the cheapest photographer they can find and almost always end up disappointed. I've had people come up to me at weddings and tell me their horror stories and how they wished they had met me before they hired their photographer. You should figure 12% to 18% of your overall wedding budget to go for your photography if you want really nice images and a bridal album. You definitely should not cut corners on your photographer because he/she has your memories in his/her hands. Be sure to read our "What Every Bride Should Know" column before you make any decisions. It could save you a lot of money and heartache.

Q.    Do you shoot traditional or photojournalistic style?

A.    We use a combination of both styles for every wedding we shoot. The latest trend is photojournalism but family and friends still want those traditional posed images so we combine both techniques and make everybody happy.

Q.    How do you usually work the day of the wedding?

A.    Click on the "Wedding Day" link in the "Weddings" menu and it will explain how a typical wedding day goes for us, from beginning to end.

Q.    Can we get Black and White images and does it cost extra.

A.    Yes you can have black and white images and NO, it does not cost extra. We shoot every wedding in color, unless otherwise specified, but we will convert any and all images to B/W  free of charge. The only additional charges are for extensive artwork such as removing people from an image or changing backgrounds etc...These will be quoted at the time of request.

Q.    Is photo retouching included in the package price?

A.    Yes it is. All minor retouching is done before you even see your images. When we sort and edit your photos, we retouch shiny spots on faces, eliminate distracting objects in backgrounds, such as light switches and "exit" signs, as well as the occasional wedding day zit. With over eleven years of extensive use of Photoshop, we can work real magic on your images if need be. Grandma wants to look a few years younger, NO problem!!

Q.    When will we see your wedding photos?

A.    We guarantee that your images will be posted online within 3 business days of your wedding. We post all of our wedding images to the internet, in a password protected gallery, FREE of charge. This allows all of your friends and relatives a chance to see them and order if they want. If you purchased a package that includes a proof book album, you will usually receive that within two weeks of the wedding.

Q.     Are the Negatives included?

A.    Some of our package do include the negatives. IF you want your negatives then there are two ways of acquiring them. 1. Add $175 to any package price and we will include them along with a copyright release or 2. wait and see what happens with your wedding reorders. When the total of all reorders from your wedding reaches $375 or more, we give you the negatives for FREE!

Q.    What happens if the photographer has equipment problems?

A.    Not to worry, we carry backup equipment with us to every wedding. IF we have a problem, you'll never know about it.

Q.    What happens if the photographer is ill on our wedding day?

A.    Fortunately, in all these years, we have never run into this problem  but if it should happen, we have several associates that are ready to jump in should the need arise. There will be an experienced professional photographer at your wedding.

Q.    You won't show up in shorts and flip flops will you?

A.    Definitely not. Dress slacks and a nice shirt are the attire for the day. We dress to impress for two reasons. We don't want to embarrass you in front of your guests and who knows, maybe one of your guests needs a photographer and we want to be the first ones they call. On a few occasions we were asked to dress in special attire or casually in order to fit in with the theme of the wedding. This is your day, we don't want to spoil it in any way.

Q.    How many photos will you take?

A.    This varies from wedding to wedding depending on what package you purchased, the size of the bridal party, number of guests and how long you have us booked for. An average 5-6 hour wedding day will usually generate between 225 to 300 images and that's after editing and sorting has been done.

Q.    What are your payment terms?

A.    We require 1/3 of the package price as a deposit to lock in your date and time and the balance is due on the wedding day.

Q.    Will we have fun?

A.    Most definitely! Mr. Miller is noted for his humor and the enjoyable way he takes photographs. Complimented time and again for his creativity and effort, he will do all that he can to make the photo sessions fun and exciting.
